On the 6th of November, Victory Day has been celebrated at BSB with great passion.
Victory Day is a public holiday in Azerbaijan that is marked on 8 November, in commemoration of Azerbaijan being the victor in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, officially labelled as The Patriotic War. Established by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, dated 2 December 2020, the holiday is celebrated on the day of the capture of Shusha.

Today we are celebrating one of the most amazing events of Year 2021 – International Teachers’ Day.
As it is known, World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate all teachers around the globe.  It commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, which sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers, and standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions.

On 4th of October, the Prefects and House Captains Investiture Ceremony of 2021 was held at BSB.
The main aim of the Investiture Ceremony is not only providing titles but also conferring responsibilities to the students, to take charge of the school and take it to the height they desire with their leadership and decision making skills, communication, and teamwork.

Today we are celebrating World Animal Day with students, teachers, and parents in the building of the British School in Baku.
The mission of World Animal Day is “to raise the status of animals to improve welfare standards around the globe.”
