Accurately measuring a student’s potential and progress can transform learning and help the teachers make decisions about individual learners, their educational needs, and their teaching efforts.
Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint
Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint is designed to assess learners at the end of Cambridge Secondary. It is available in English, English as a second language, mathematics, and science.
It gives valuable feedback on learners’ strengths and weaknesses before they progress to the next stage of education and provides schools with an external international benchmark for learner performance.
Each learner receives a statement of achievement from Cambridge. For English, English as a second language, mathematics and science, exam board provide tests that are marked in Cambridge.
Classroom assessment
We assess some subjects in the classroom through discussion, observation, and lesson outputs.
Our teachers provide formative feedback on the skills learners need to develop to reflect on and improve their performance.
Cambridge Progression Tests
Cambridge Progression Tests are internal assessments that aim to check learners’ knowledge, skills, and understanding.

Come with clear guidance, standards, and mark schemes.
Cambridge IGCSE
Cambridge IGCSE assessment occurs at the end of the course and can include written oral, coursework, and practical assessment. This broadens opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning, particularly when their first language is not English. There is a choice between core and extended curricula in many subjects, making Cambridge IGCSE suitable for a wide range of abilities.
Grades are benchmarked using eight internationally recognized grades, A* to G, which have clear guidelines to explain each grade’s standard of achievement.
Cambridge IGCSE examination sessions occur twice a year, in June and November. Results are issued in August and January.
