We are beyond thrilled to welcome the new teacher of the British School in Baku, Mr.Boyd Dickson.
Mr Boyd Dickson has more than 13 years’ teaching experience. In both the UK, and overseas, he has taught a range of year groups as the classteacher. He has taught at BSB before and he is very happy to be here again.
Mr Boyd is from Scotland, but he did teacher training in London. He also has a Cambridge CELTA qualification and his first teaching experiences were in English summer schools. He enjoyed teaching young children so much that he wanted to become a Primary teacher.
Mr Boyd’s father used to be a Captain in the merchant navy, something which allowed Mr Boyd many international experiences when he was a teenager. His professional interest is now in teaching internationally.
Mr Boyd’s main hobby is cycling and ‘exploring’ where he lives. He also enjoys reading and decorating his classroom!
Mr Boyd’s main teaching aim is to help all of his students realise their full academic and personal potential.
